Ram Grilles by Generation: 1500, 2500, 3500 and 4500 (1991–2027)

Ram trucks have had six distinct front ends since the early '90s, and a grille made for one generation won't fit another. Before you shop for a custom grille, confirm your model (1500 or 2500/3500/4500) and your generation.

This guide covers every Ram generation Overkill Fab builds for. It shows what's available for each and what to check before you order.

How our Ram grilles are built

Every grille is made to order in our Michigan shop from 304 stainless steel. It's TIG welded, powder coated and backed by a limited lifetime warranty. For most generations you can choose wire mesh or laser-cut mesh, studded or smooth frames, and integrated LED light bars.

For 1991–2018 trucks, most of our grilles are inserts that install in your factory grille shell. For 2019 and newer Ram 2500/3500/4500 trucks, we build full-replacement grilles. Each product page says which type it is.

1st Gen Ram (1991–1993)

  • Ram 1500: Grille inserts, inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar, and a full-replacement grille, $375 to $570.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Six insert designs, including inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar, plus a full-replacement grille, $375 to $570.

2nd Gen Ram (1994–2002)

The 2nd Gen has our widest selection. Every design comes in a Sport or Non-Sport version, because the two grilles are different. Check which one your truck has before you order.

  • Ram 1500: ZF1 frame inserts, color-badge grilles, inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar, and inserts with two 10-inch LEDs, $375 to $545.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: The same styles, plus ZF1 and TF1 frame options and Sport and Non-Sport grille insert combos, $375 to $660.

3rd Gen Ram (2003–2005)

  • Ram 1500: Wire-mesh inserts and inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar or two 10-inch LEDs, $425 to $575.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Studded-frame inserts, inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar or two 10-inch LEDs, and a grille insert combo for 3rd Gen trucks converted to a 4th Gen bumper, $425 to $605.

3rd Gen Ram (2006–2009)

The 2006 refresh changed the front end, so 2003–2005 grilles won't carry over.

  • Ram 1500: Three wire-mesh insert designs and inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar or two 10-inch LEDs, $425 to $575.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Wire-mesh and laser-cut inserts and inserts with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar or two 10-inch LEDs, $425 to $575.

4th Gen Ram (2010–2012)

  • Ram 1500: Wire-mesh and laser hex-mesh grilles, two-layer designs, and grilles with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar or two 10-inch LEDs, $395 to $875.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Two-layer designs, including one with a Ram logo, the laser hex-mesh OKFR3, LED grilles, bumper grilles and a grille combo, $325 to $875.

4th Gen Ram (2013–2018)

  • Ram 1500: Wire-mesh inserts, two-layer designs, the laser hex-mesh OKFR3, LED grilles, a bumper grille, and a grille and bumper grille combo, $250 to $825.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Two-layer designs including the OKFF4 with custom text, the OKFR3, LED grilles, bumper grilles with or without a 20-inch LED, and a grille combo, $325 to $875.

5th Gen Ram (2019–2024)

  • Ram 1500: Laser-cut stainless grilles with your own custom lettering or logo and a glow option, $850.
  • Ram 2500/3500/4500: Full-replacement grilles, $550 to $1,150. Options include wire-mesh designs, grilles with an included 20- or 30-inch LED bar, and laser-cut grilles with your own text and a glow option. There's also a fully custom 2019–2023 design with your own text or logo.

6th Gen Ram 2500/3500/4500 (2025–2027)

For the newest heavy-duty Ram, we build a full-replacement grille with an included 20-inch LED, and a laser-cut grille with your own text and a glow option, $950 to $979.95.

We also make bumper conversion brackets. They let you install a 4th Gen bumper on a 2nd or 3rd Gen Ram, or a 5th Gen bumper on a 3rd Gen 2500/3500, starting at $95.

Before you order

  • Confirm your model and generation. A 1500 grille won't fit a 2500/3500, and a grille for one generation won't fit another.
  • On 1994–2002 trucks, check Sport or Non-Sport. The grilles are different.
  • Check your trim and front-end equipment. Some designs depend on your factory emblem, camera or sensors.
  • Review the installation. Some inserts require cutting the factory grille, so read the product page first.
  • Plan for the build time. Most Ram grilles take 1–4 weeks, depending on the design and custom options.
